Facial PRP

Facial PRP

Platelet rich plasma utilizes a patient’s own blood to initiate a cellular response in the facial tissue to assist in the repair of aging and fine lines. The injection of PRP leads to a release of growth factors and adhesive glycoproteins allowing new cell proliferation, collagen growth and stem cells to migrate to the area. The result of facial PRP is the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles as well as supporting the underlying skin matrix which allows for a more even complexion. One to three treatments may be necessary to meet a patient’s goal. There are very little side effects of the therapy because the PRP is coming from the patient and is natural and non-toxic, but most patients can expect some swelling and minor bruising after the procedure. Facial PRP provides targeted and accelerated healing of chronic facial concerns including UV damage, acne scars, and fine lines/wrinkles due to aging.
