Naturopathic Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is the application of water in any form, externally or internally, to treat disease and maintain health. Naturopathic hydrotherapy is hydrotherapy used in conjunction with natural modalities such as supplements, herbs, and homeopathy. Hydrotherapies are available to YNC patients with physician permission and are delivered in the Oasis Spa. Click here for spa hours and policies.


Contrast Hydrotherapy

This centuries-old tradition improves circulation to chronically constricted areas, induces detoxification, boosts immunity, and creates a lingering sense of relaxation. Includes three cycles of full body exposure to hot/cold temperatures in our sauna and cold plunge pool.

Colon Hydrotherapy

Irrigation of the large intestine using purified water. Treatments are an integral part of YNC’s seasonal cleanse program and are generally useful at any time to remove toxins from the body and complement healing. Probiotics are added to the irrigation water at the end of treatment to replace beneficial bacteria in the intestine.

Constitutional Hydrotherapy

Alternating application of hot and cold towels over the trunk of the body in conjunction with electrical stimulation to the back and abdomen. Enhances immune response, improves nutrient absorption, promotes detoxification, and helps restore nervous system equilibrium.

Fever Treatments

Following a hot bath, patient is wrapped in sheets to raise the body temperature to mimic a fever and cause sweating. Treatment is useful for chasing away the common cold or flu, detoxifying the liver and lymphatic systems, and render viruses more vulnerable to the body’s defense mechanisms. We will assist you with fever treatments at the spa or give you free instructions for home treatment.

Cold Wet Sheet Wrap

Full-body wrap featuring a cold, wet sheet placed against the body and covered with dry wool blankets to regulate body temperature and evaporation. A powerful means of detoxification; as the body warms, large amounts of waste products and toxins are released from the tissues and lymphatic systems.
