Residencies
As residents at YNC, graduates from nationally accredited naturopathic schools complete one to three years of postdoctoral study and independent patient care in general naturopathy or naturopathic oncology. Residents focus on integrated care and practice management, working with physicians at YNC and throughout the community.
Our program is one of the longest running community-based naturopathic residency programs in the nation. We have offered residencies since 1995, have been a certified site for the Bastyr University Naturopathic Residency Program since 2005, and are part of the national Naturopathic Research and Education Consortium (NERC).

Consistent with NERC goals, our program is designed for four purposes:
- To provide practice for naturopathic graduates in a busy, primary care clinic setting
- To advance the quality of naturopathic care
- To help meet the alternative healthcare needs of our community
- To maximize the contribution of naturopathic medicine to healthcare by cooperating and collaborating with allied practitioners in a regional medical hub
Our residents are supervised by YNC medical director, Dr. Margaret Beeson, through Bastyr’s certified program.
